Serenity

Well Cam and I have finally 'moved in'. This weekend we finished unpacking our things that we have here and hung our pictures on the walls, we even went as far as to buy a plant. We still have a bunch of stuff at my mom and dad's in Nelson that we couldn't fit on this move so we will get that stuff later on. I am just eagerly awaiting for my new dining set to arrive. It is suppose to be here in June, but I am hopeful that it will come early. Stranger things have happened. Both Cam and I are absolutely loving where we are living. We are about 10 minutes East of Vernon, in a sleepy little community called Coldstream. There are a lot of houses out here, but the majority of the land is farm land and cattle ranches. Although we are only renting our place for now, I would like to stay out in this area, but it might be a little expensive to do that. I had the pleasure of having my sister visiting here for the first week that we were moving in. She helped out soooo much with the unpacking and helping me organize and clean the place. It was a very busy week for us because she was also wanting to visit our friend in Kelowna, so I was doing a lot of driving that week back and forth. I didn't really mind the drive because it is relatively short. Which is nice for whenever Cam and I need to go into Kelowna to go to Costco or whatever, even though Vernon has a pretty good selection of stores that fits all our needs.

Zoe is loving her new home! She gets to go outside without a leash on. So she gets to wonder freely all over the yard. She is getting a lot better with her barking at the neighbour dogs. There are other dogs on each side of us. One side there are three huge golden labs, and on the other there is an American Eskimo dog and a black Sheppard. So, she is learning that they are there, and that they will bark at her, but she doesn't need to bark at them. She just needs to learn her boundaries now and not wonder out of the yard. She doesn't really care for the cows that we walk by, but again it is just a matter of getting her use to them. We both have jobs, mine may not be permanent for the moment, and Cam is working in Kelowna still. Fortunately our landlord works with Cam so he can carpool with him and not use our car to get him to and from work. Which is really nice because that leaves me with the car, and we aren't putting on extra kilometers or paying for our own gas to get him to and from work. So life is pretty much fantastic at the moment. I really have no complaints :o)

Cam just had his birthday the other weekend so we were in Kelowna to celebrate that with some friends. Danielle was still here to celebrate it with us. It was fun to go out for the night for supper as well as bowling. We haven't been ten pin bowling for sooo long. It was a fun night.
